WHAT WE DO

Freedom Social Projects is committed to working with those in the community who are suffering from the causes and effects of social exclusion and deprivation. Our work addresses the social, emotional, financial and practical needs of people at the margins of society.

The services we offer overcome isolation and exclusion and promote inclusion and integration, thereby helping us bring transformation to our community. We aim to be involved at all levels, from a hands on, grass roots level right through to strategically influencing local policy.

We achieve our objectives through our daily open access Day Centre, our Education and Training programs, our Social Enterprise activities and by partnering with other organizations such as Christians Against Poverty, Citizens Advice Bureau and North Devon District Council. We also have active involvement on local forums with the local authority, the police, and other health related organizations.

The services we provide offer support, advice and practical help in a safe, friendly and easily accessible environment. They are delivered in a way that gives encouragement and affirms value and self esteem. We help people identify and resolve the often complex issues that contribute to their social exclusion or substance use, promoting healthy lifestyle choices and tackling change through different interventions like; self help groups, peer support, education, training, volunteering and work opportunities.

Our aim is to have a positive impact on the health and well being of our service users by adopting a “holistic approach”, providing services that encourage and stimulate all parts of an individual, Body, Mind and Spirit.
