We are thrilled to offer a debt counselling service in partnership with the award-winning national charity Christians Against Poverty UK.
CAP Barnstaple covers most of North Devon from its base in the Freedom Centre. Headed up by Jeremy Westcott along with a team of volunteers from the church, we offer a debt counselling service which is completely free to anyone.
Debt affects people from all walks of life. It is so easy to get into, and seems so difficult to get out of. Sadly the effects on people’s lives can be devastating: depression, marriage breakdown and despair to name but a few. We visit people in their own homes and offer them a sustainable solution to their debt problem, showing them the love of God in a practical way.
We always aim to help people get debt-free within 5 years.

The Centre is open on Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays during office hours.
